For all products:
It is recommended for cleaning purposes that the
Phil-e-Slide range of patient handling products
should be classed and treated as equipment (not
linen) as the fibres on the Phil-e-Slide material are
non porous and waterproof and should be treated in
the same way as a standard mattress cover.
Roller sheets/Flat sheets/Pull straps
For day to day general cleaning requirements, the
sheets should be wiped with hot soapy water or
alcohol/chlorhexadine solution (medi-wipes), and
wiped or shaken dry. If laundering is required,the
sheets can be hand or machine washed up to 90
degrees C, then drip dry or short cool tumble dry (no
more than 40 degrees C). This equipment can also be
autoclaved up to 90 degrees C.
